LED lamp belt, also known as flexible LED lamp belt, the use of flexible circuit board, soft and smart, bending resistance, flexibility is very high, widely used in the production of linear lighting products such as lamp belt.

The unique characteristics of flexible circuit board make it become rigid circuit board in many occasions, but also promote the development of many fields.

Flexible circuit board commonly used types:

1. The single panel

A single PI copper-coated sheet is used after the circuit is completed, and then a protective film is covered to form a soft circuit board with only a single conductor

2. Common dual panels

Double-sided PI copper-coated material is used to complete the double-sided circuit, and a protective film is added on both sides to become a circuit board with double-layer conductors

3. The substrate generates a single panel

The use of pure copper foil material in circuit production, respectively in the two sides of each layer of protective film, become only a single conductor but in the circuit board on both sides of the conductor exposed circuit board

4. The substrate generates two panels

The use of two layers of single-sided PI copper-coated material with a window in a specific position in the middle of the adhesive pressing, become in the local area pressing, local area two-layer separation structure of the double-sided conductor circuit board to achieve in the stratified area with high flexural performance of the circuit board.

There are four main types of flexible circuit boards.

Advantages of flexible circuit board:

1. It can be bent, wound and folded freely, and can be arranged arbitrarily according to the requirements of spatial layout

2. FPC can greatly reduce the size and weight of electronic products

3.FPC also has good heat dissipation and weldability, and is easy to assemble and connect, with low overall cost

Disadvantages of flexible circuit board:

1. High one-time initial cost

Because flexible PCB boards are designed for special applications, the cost of circuit design, wiring and photographic backplates is high unless there is a special need for flexible PCB boards

2. It is difficult to change and repair soft PCB

Once the soft PCB board is made, it is not easy to change because it must start from the base drawing or the programmed light drawing program.  Its surface is covered with a protective film, which must be removed before repair and restored after repair, which is more difficult work.

3. Limited size

Soft PCB circuit board is not popular in the case of intermittent process manufacturing, so it is limited by the size of the production equipment, can not be made very long, very wide.

4. Improper operation is easy to damage.
